Halquinol is a blend of 5-monochloro-8- hydroxy quinoline, 5, 7-dichloro-8-hydroxyquinoline fk 7-monochloro-8-hydroxy quinoline produced under controlled chlorination reaction.

MECHANISM OF ACTION

• By way of reducing the pathogen load in both intestine Et feed because of its strong antimicrobial property
• It isgut acting, not absorbed from the intestines, hence nontoxic.
• Besides its antimicrobial property, it reduces the motility of intestine and hence acts as an anti-diarrheal.
